My Design Process
A Company Logo Design
For one of my projects, what I had to do was create my own company of whatever I wanted and create a logo for it. What first came to my mind was a simple logo for an ice cream shop. I first wrote down what my shop was and where it was located or was likely to be located if it was real, which in my case was: A small shop in a mall located in Los Angeles, California. It is supposed to have a big variety of ice cream flavors and maybe include sundaes and popsicles.
After I wrote down what I had an idea about the company, I wrote down a list fo items that have to do with the company or the industry in general, no matter what it was. This would help me with coming up with ideas of what I should do as a logo. Then when I am done, I can start sketching some ideas or concepts for logos.
These are the sketches I did and the ideas for a logo I did. I then decided to look for reference and inspiration pieces in order to help me either come up with more designs or colors that I could use for the concepts I had made. The two images below are the ones I would say that inspired me the most, the left one giving me the idea of adding syurp ontop of the ice cream and the ring around the ball of ice cream and the one on the right gave me an idea for colors I should use for my design.
